Brescia Walking Tour
Italy's most underrated city and a local aperitivo
Brescia is a city rich in history, layered, and full of character, yet still largely untouched by mass tourism. With over 4,000 years of history and several UNESCO-listed sites, the city offers a rare combination of Roman ruins, medieval streets, elegant squares and a lively local atmosphere.
Our Brescia walking tour begins at the city’s medieval castle, rising above the historic center and offering sweeping views over the city. From here, we walk downhill at an easy pace, letting the story of Brescia unfold naturally, without turning the experience into a history lecture. Along the way, we explore the impressive archaeological area of ancient Brixia, stroll through Piazza Duomo with its distinctive Old Cathedral, and reach Piazza della Vittoria, a bold example of 20th-century architecture. We then cross the elegant Piazza della Loggia before ending in the Carmine district, one of Brescia’s most authentic neighborhoods. We conclude the tour the way locals do: by slowing down and sharing a relaxed aperitivo. Together, we enjoy a glass of Pirlo, Brescia’s most traditional drink. A simple, convivial moment that perfectly reflects the spirit of the city and of this tour: thoughtful, genuine, and never taking itself too seriously.

Our Brescia Walking Tour lasts approximately 3 hours and is available with a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 10 participants. For larger groups or families travelling with children under six, please contact us for further details and tailored arrangements.
