Beyond Romeo and Juliet

A walking tour of Verona with a local aperitivo

This tour is designed for travelers who want to experience Verona beyond its most familiar images, discovering the city in a relaxed, engaging and genuinely local way.

Our guided walk takes us through Verona’s historic center, passing by its most iconic squares and landmarks while also stepping away from the busiest streets to explore quieter areas and lesser-known corners. Along the way, we uncover layers of Roman, medieval and Renaissance history, but always with a focus on how the city has been lived in over time, not just admired. Rather than following a fixed list of “must-see” spots, the tour balances Verona’s famous piazzas and monuments with more intimate streets and unexpected viewpoints, offering a clearer sense of the city’s everyday rhythm and atmosphere, away from the crowds. We conclude the walk the Italian way, with a relaxed stop for a local aperitivo in one of our favorite spots. It’s a moment to slow down, enjoy a drink together and experience Verona as locals do, because some of the best insights into Italian life are found right at the bar.

Our Verona Tour lasts approximately 3 hours and is available with a minimum of two and a maximum of ten participants. For larger groups or families travelling with children under six, please contact us for further details and tailored arrangements.
