Centovalli Train and Lake Maggiore private cruise

This full-day Lake Maggiore day tour from Italy to Switzerland is designed for travelers who appreciate seamless journeys across landscapes and cultures.

The experience begins with a private transfer to Domodossola, where we board the iconic Centovalli panoramic train. This historic railway connects Italy and Switzerland, crossing alpine valleys, forests and small mountain villages before reaching Intragna in the Swiss Canton of Ticino. From there, our private driver continues towards Ascona, one of the most elegant towns on the Swiss side of Lake Maggiore, known for its Mediterranean atmosphere and colourful waterfront. Here we enjoy a relaxed stroll before returning to Italy by road. In Cannobio we pause for a relaxed light meal in a traditional setting overlooking Lake Maggiore, discovering local flavors in one of the most authentic villages of northern Piedmont. The final part of this cross-border day trip unfolds on the water: from Cannero we enjoy a private boat cruise on Lake Maggiore back to Stresa, passing the Castles of Cannero and the Borromean Islands, with an aperitivo served on board.

The guided tour lasts approximately eight hours and runs with a minimum of two and a maximum of six participants, ensuring a relaxed and personal experience. For families travelling with children under six, or for groups larger than six people, please contact us for updated pricing and tailored arrangements.
