Desenzano Sunset Tour

A wonderful tour on land and water to discover the Capital of Lake Garda, our hometown Desenzano del Garda. We will meet up at the gorgeous Piazza Malvezzi, right in front of Desenzano’s patron Saint statue Sant´Angela Merici, right in the heart of town. We will begin our tour by sharing great insights about this incredible woman (she was so important that she even has a statue in St. Peter´s Basilica in the Vatican City). Then we will walk by the striking Old Harbour and the Venetian District to hear great stories about the past centuries when Desenzano was part of the Venetian “Serenissima” Republic dominion.

We will then continue to the Roman Villa of Desenzano, one of northern Italy’s best preserved examples of great Roman private homes. After an interesting visit to admire the Villa and its incredible mosaics, still preserved after 1800 years, we will continue through the maze of narrow alleys of the old town to reach the great Medieval Castle. From here you can enjoy one of the most stunning views over Lake Garda and its beautiful surroundings. This lovely walk ends at the central pier where we will start our boat ride at sunset.

With a view of the diverse landscape surrounding us, a stunning sight of the gentle Morainic Hills and the higher peaks, the crystal clear waters of Lake Garda and a nice glass of prosecco in your hand we will enjoy the unique spectacle of the sun setting behind the Val Sabbia mountains - something truly magical!
